| Scientific Background: | EuHMT1 (Euchromatic Histone Methyltransferase 1, EHMT1, EuHMTase1, G9a like protein, GLP1) is a SET domain-containing histone methyltransferase specific for lysine 9 of histone H3. It is possible that this protein is involved in the silencing of Myc and E2F-responsive genes and thus could play a role in regulating cell cycle transitions from G0 to G1. |
