| Scientific Background: | AML-3 (acute myeloid leukemia 3 protein) also known as Runx2 (runt-related transcription factor 2) is a multifunctional transcription factor that can either activate or repress transcription. The alpha subunit can bind DNA as a monomer, or DNA binding can be increased by heterodimerization. AML-3 is necessary for osteoblastic differentiation and skeletal morphogenesis. |
