| Description: | Mocetinostat (MGCD0103) selectively inhibits histone deacetylases (HDACs) 1-3 and 11 at submicromolar concentrations. (IC50 = 0.15, 0.29, 1.66 and 0.59 µM for HDAC1, 2, 3 and 11 respectively). Mocetinostat induces hyperacetylation of histones, causes expression of the tumor suppressor protein p21(WAF1/CIP1), and inhibits proliferation of human cancer cells growing in culture. |
