| Description: | CAY10683 is a potent histone deacetylase (HDAC) inhibitor isolated from the cyanobacterium Symploca. It inhibits HDAC2 and HDAC6 with IC₅₀ values of 0.119 and 434 nM, respectively. Inhibits HDAC4 only at higher concentrations (IC₅₀ = >1,000 nM). CAY10683 inhibits the growth of HCT-116 colon cancer cells and HuT-78 cutaneous T cell lymphoma cells (GI₅₀ = 29.4 and 1.4 μM, respectively) more effectively than human dermal fibroblasts (GI₅₀ = >100 μM. |
