Product Overview:  Recombinant human NONO was expressed in a baculovirus expression system as the full length protein (accession number NP_031389.3) with an N-terminal DYKDDDDK-Tag. The molecular weight of the protein is 57.2 kDa. The NONO protein is >90% pure by SDS-PAGE.
Background:  NONO (non-POU domain containing, octamer-binding, p54(nrb), NRB54, NMT55) is a DNA- and RNA binding protein and involved in several nuclear processes. NONO binds the conventional octamer sequence in double-stranded DNA. It also binds single-stranded DNA and RNA at a site independent of the duplex site. This gene also encodes an RNA-binding protein which plays various roles in the nucleus, including transcriptional regulation and RNA splicing. A rearrangement between this gene and the transcription factor E3 gene has been observed in papillary renal cell carcinoma.
Applications:  Suitable for use in protein-protein interaction, in vitro transcription assay, binding assay.
Storage:  Store at 4℃ if entire vial will be used within 2-4 weeks. Store at -20℃ or -80℃ for longer periods of time. Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
